We completed a survey of students in IADT. 65 students took part, 31 male and 34 female aged between 18 to 55 years. The students ranged from first to fourth year and were enrolled in five different courses in the college. The survey was conducted through “survey monkey” online and students were asked to take part in an anonymous survey in their own time. The findings of students surveyed, showed that 86% of IADT students currently use a Smartphone. All of the 86% of the Smartphone users stated they would value an IADT mobile phone application. The survey also found that the most popular components that students wanted the mobile application to have was Blackboard and e-mail.
