The proposed IADT application is in the very early stages of development. No members of the group have the skills required to build the application in full so a fully working product cannot be achieved. Through carrying out a survey of IADT students it was discovered that 80% of participants already own a Smartphone. This indicates that the proposed IADT application is viable as the majority of our potential users have means of accessing the application and the technical skills to navigate it. Product related research revealed that university applications are of no cost to the student and are funded by the college. Therefore it is believed that there would be no financial implications to the end user. As no group member is employed by IADT we are unable to determine what the cost would be to the institute to develop an application, and whether it is feasible to do so at the current time.
In the future the team hopes that research and the work carried out throughout this project may be of use to the Institute if the decision is made to create an IADT mobile application.
